Reverse appliques are a quick and cool way to add flair to your projects. The first step of the design will show you where the fabric will need to be. Then, you will remove the hoop from your machine and apply the fabric to the BOTTOM with the right side of the fabric face UP touching the project material. Slide the hoop back onto the machine making sure the fabric stays in place (you can pin it around the edges to be sure). Then, the second steps tacks and secures the fabric to the project. Once it is complete, you can remove it from the hoop and cut it out being very careful not to snip the fabric below. On the back of the project, trim the applique fabric to about 3/8" around the perimeter stitching. Your done!Monday, January 24, 2011
